EITCA Academy Refund Policy
The Refund Policy specifies EITCI Institute Certification Protection with the European IT Certification programmes enrolment (including EITC and EITCA programmes), i.e. consumer cancellation rights extending the European Consumer Rights Directive.
If you’re not satisfied with an ordered Certification(s) and you are a consumer under the definition of the European Union’s law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you will receive a full refund in a 30-days refund guarantee extending the Consumer Rights Directive standard period of 14 days.
As specified by the §29 point 1. of the Terms and Conditions, by extending the provisions of the consumer protection regulations (implementing the Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on Consumer Rights), the Participant who is a consumer (not applicable to companies/institutions as well as individuals engaged in economic activities that have made the purchase under these activities) is entitled to cancel a remotely concluded Participation Agreement without providing any reason within 30 days from conclusion of the Participation Agreement, receiving a full refund. The cancellation should have a form of a written statement (with reference to the respective legal basis), emailed as a copy to the EITCA Academy Secretary Office or to the EITCI Institute.
Certain restrictions apply to the refunded cancellation right and these include in particular the following cases:
Accordingly to §29 point 2. of the Terms and Conditions the refunded cancellation right is waived if the Participant undertakes any examination under his programme enrolment (independently from the examination result, including either its failing or passing) before the end of 30 days period referred to in §29 point 1.

Furthermore EITCI Institute reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny refund requests in cases where a Refund Policy abuse is suspected, including but not limited to following cases of the Refund Policy restrictions:
- the Participant has completed a part of the programme he is enrolled in, before submitting the cancellation request,
- multiple refunded cancellation requests have been submitted by the Participant for the same programme,
- excessive number of refunded cancellation requests have been requested by the Participant,
- the Participant’s refund right is waived by the provisions of the Terms and Conditions,
- the Participant is using a subscription service (subscription services are not covered by the refunded cancellation right).
All EITCI Institue’s refund restrictions are implemented in agreement with the Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on Consumer Rights.
EITCI Institute’s credit only refunds
In cases where a transaction is not eligible for a cash refund, the refund will be granted using EITCI Institute certification credits, provided it otherwise meets provisions of the Refund Policy.
If your programme enrolment is only eligible for a credit refund, this will be communicated to you after you submit your refunded cancellation request.
Types of payments that are only eligible for credit refunds:
- Apple payments: Apple (iOS) payments are processed through Apple and not EITCI Institute, hence we are not able to offer cash refunds for purchases made using Apple payments. You can read more about Apple’s refund policy here.
- Bank and cash transfers: certain bank and cash transfer methods for enrolment fees payments are only eligible for credit refunds.
- Boleto Bancário and Pix: enrolment fees paid through Boleto Bancário and Pix are only eligible for credit refunds.
- Alfamart or Indomaret: enrolments finalized at Alfamart and Indomaret are only eligible for credit refunds.
Refunds for subscription plans
EITCI Institute and EITCA Academy subscriptions plans do not offer a 30-day refunded cancellation guarantee, and in general no refunds or partial refunds are available unless otherwise required by applicable law. If you’re enrolled in a subscription via the free trial, you can cancel the free trial at any time, without being charged. Depending on where you’re located, you may be entitled to a refund. We determine your location based on the country associated with your account. Participants with accounts in the United Kingdom can receive a full refund within 14 days from the start of their subscription. Participants with accounts in South Africa can receive a full refund within 7 days from the start of their subscription. If the participant signs up for a free trial, he/she agrees that the mentioned above periods begin on the first day of the free trial. If the participant meets the above qualifications and would like to receive a refund, he/she must submit a refund request to EITCI Institute before his/her applicable refund period concludes.
Refunds for Certification(s) ordered through a third-party
Since the payment for the order was processed by the third-party vendor (including European IT Certification Licensees), EITCI Institute does not have access to the necessary information to review or process these refund requests. Please contact the third-party vendor directly to request a refund accordingly with the refund policy and the terms and conditions of the service provision agreed for with the third-party vendor.
